Welcome! We are the research group of Dr Peifeng Li at University of Glasgow.

Our research focuses on improving the understanding of the process-structure-mechanical property relationship of lightweight structural materials. One of the recent focuses has been on additive manufacturing (3D printing) of metals. The main strategy is to exploit the advantages of combined advanced experimental characterisation and material modelling techniques at various length and time scales.

Application includes light alloys (Ti, Al), additive manufactured metals, metal foams, polymeric foams and fibre reinforced polymeric laminates, and ceramics for automotive, aerospace, defence and even biomedical sectors.
